Center Stage Youth Theatre 2020-2021 Season

Do you love singing, acting, dancing and performing for an audience? The Center Stage Education Center is unveiling our brand new youth season of musicals, musical reviews, and plays! Of the six shows we produce each season, there are three that everyone can participate in (101 Dalmatians, James and the Giant Peach, Hairspray) and three that are cast through auditions (Teen Musical Theater Workshop, Our Town, Musical Theater Workshop Jr). 

Auditions and further show information will be posted here so be sure to check back as we get closer to the start of our season! 

Teen Musical Theatre Workshop

FROZEN, Kids  

YOUTH SEASON PERFORMANCE CLASS (In Person) Grades 3-4,  MONDAY/WEDNESDAY 5:15-6:15

Chelsea will be working with students (GR 3-4) on a full-scale production of Frozen, Jr.   Each student will have a role in the production that will perform at the end of the semester.   We need a minimum of 15 students to run this class to properly cast the show and a maximum of 25 students to allow for appropriate social distancing during rehearsal and performance.  All production classes will be held in the theatre to allow for proper social distancing.

* Note - If there is a resurgence of COVID 19 and in-person classes are not able to continue as ordered by the State of Connecticut,  Center Stage will evaluate the status of this class and either continue on-line or postpone the production until it is safe for students can come together again.

November 1-3, 8, 9, 2019

The Teen Musical Theatre Workshop, more commonly referred to as "Fall Cab", is a Broadway musical review featuring high school students, which is held in the beginning of November each year. Fall Cab rehearses on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

THE LITTLE MERMAID Jr.

YOUTH THEATRE SEASON PERFORMANCE CLASS (In Person) Grades 6-9. MONDAY/WEDNESDAY 4:00-5:00

Note: This is an advanced performance class and will require an audition.  

Katie Sedlock will be working with students (GR 6-9) on a full-scale production of The Little Mermaid Jr.   Each student will have a role in the production that will perform at the end of the semester.   We need a minimum of 15 students to run this class to properly cast the show and a maximum of 25 students to allow for appropriate social distancing during rehearsal and performance.  All production classes will be held in the theatre to allow for proper social distancing.

Building off of the success of our Teen Musical Theatre Workshop, Center Stage is proud to present our 5th annual Musical Theatre Workshop Jr. This cabaret-style production will feature talented elementary and middle school children performing selections from musical productions and movies.
